Write to your MP about changes to teacher qualifications included in the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill

Teachers and parents understand what children actually need and what’s in their best interests. We need to protect schools’ autonomy and trust them to get on with the job.

 

This ‘One School Fits All’ Bill would strip good schools of the freedom to make the decisions that work best for their pupils - giving government ministers powers to overrule headteachers on key decisions surrounding teacher recruitment. Politicians in Westminster think they know better than teachers.

 

If this bill goes ahead in its current form, good schools across the country will suffer
